A True Leader
“The most dangerous leadership myth is that leaders are born-that there is a genetic factor to leadership. This myth asserts that people simply either have certain charismatic qualities or not. That’s nonsense; in fact, the opposite is true. Leaders are made rather than born."
-Warren Bennis
The 2022 national mid-term elections finished a week ago. While waiting for the full results, it seems fitting that we consider “What is a true leader?” I expected the status quo: more lying, stealing, and cheating. After all, it is common sense that when you don’t fix a problem, the outcome won’t change. It’s a core idea of growth and change: if you want a different result, you need to try something new. Since the nation has not come to terms with the stolen 2020 elections, and some still don’t even realize there was a problem, it’s understandable not to expect a different result.
There have been some leadership changes in Congress and several states. The main question is, “Are any new leaders true leaders?” Welch is replacing Leahy in Vermont, and I’m not impressed with their records; you can look into them yourself. The U.S. House seat was open, and many of us were interested in Liam Madden. Everyone I know voted for Liam because he was the only House candidate who truly understood and valued true leadership.
Like me, you might be disappointed when you look up the definition of a leader. The shallow definitions focus on a leader's ‘doing’ state and ignore the ‘being’ state of a leader. Maybe it is time we redefine what being a “true leader” means. To start, you might want to ask yourself, “Is my quality of life better than it was two years ago?” Be honest. For example, how much of your income is spent on food and gas?
Leadership isn't about how many followers you have on social media. Instead, a key part of authentic leadership is the number of other leaders you can develop. The past two years show that few new people are “serving” in Congress. You might want to check who's truly committed to building a genuine democracy. For example, how many politicians are willing to support limited terms for elected officials and appointed bureaucrats? That means they would need to earn a living like other Americans when their term is over. Also, how many politicians are ready to pass a bill that removes the financial perks of ‘serving’ their country? It takes immense inner integrity and a ‘servant's heart’ for leaders to refuse permanent retirement benefits (avoiding self-entitlement and pay raises that exceed those of most American citizens) or free college tuition for their children, for example.
Humanity must act with courage and lead from inner integrity to foster peace on Earth. Congressional, state, and local leaders need to embody the energy and resonance we want in the collective consciousness. Why? Because each of us, individually, contributes to the collective consciousness, we are all connected, whether we believe it or not.
My intention behind sharing this blog is to awaken the potential within you to lead by embodying the limitless capacities of the human spirit. True leaders exemplify moral and ethical principles rooted in the values of our US Constitution. The energy they project influences everyone around them—partners, children, families, and communities—shaping their environments with intention and care. True leadership transcends authority; it inspires, empowers, and uplifts. As we navigate our journeys, let us reflect on the leaders we wish to be, creating a legacy defined by compassion, integrity, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. What kind of leader are you?
Leaders are made rather than born.
Change starts with you. Leadership doesn't depend on your political party, beliefs, religion, sex, net worth, or skin color; it is about your character. Are you sovereign? If your life has improved significantly over the past two years, you might prefer to keep things the way they are, so forget about sovereignty. In that case, you might want to read something else that doesn’t ask you to look at yourself.
True leaders reflect what they aim to create in the world. They stand up for the truth, no matter the resistance they encounter. Liars will inevitably attack them, and they will be maligned and hated, but they will still stand firm. True leaders practice what they preach. They serve with love and compassion. They nurture more true leaders. They believe in God.
True leaders speak the truth no matter what.
If you are a true leader, you will stand against the status quo. You must do so because a true leader must intentionally choose awareness. Consciousness perceives through lies, hypocrisy, greed, and violence. Serious examples are widespread at the international, national, state, and local levels of government. For instance, in the summer of 2020, race riots cost the American people over $2 billion in damages. Most Congressional leaders didn’t offer condemnations when property was vandalized, fires raged in inner cities, and at least 25 lives were lost. The biased media silenced those few who did speak out. Furthermore, Congress needs to investigate the 2020 riots and the Black Lives Matter organizations that coordinated them (not the idea that black lives matter—since all lives matter).
True leaders lead by example.
True leaders understand they have the power to change the world. Dr. Simone Gold, the founder of America’s Frontline Doctors, leads by example. Dr. Gold refused to stay silent. As an advocate for the people of the world, she was sent to prison by dishonest leaders. Hate motivated this egregious crime, aimed solely at instilling fear in true leaders’ hearts. Upon release from prison, Dr. Gold said, “I will use every means at my disposal to call out the liars, the purveyors of Covid misinformation, including Rep. John Conyers’ and his House Committee on Coronavirus ‘Mis-Information,’ the NIH, the CDC, and especially the DOJ… I will fight for the 840+ Patriots still awaiting justice for their J6 involvement.” Dr. Simone Gold is a hero.
True leaders are courageous.
Honestly, our country was falling apart after eight years of Obama. President Donald J. Trump stood up to the tranny of untrue leaders. He was elected not as a politician but as a true servant leader to make America great again. Whether we voted for him or not, most of us, regardless of our opinion of his personality, can report that our lives were easier under his leadership. If you envision peace on Earth, President Trump is the vibration to align with; do the research, and you will discover that he should most definitely be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. It’s likely because of the nature of the ‘prize’ politics that, like Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, President Trump will not be a laureate.
It is blatant hate that has led to impeaching President Donald J. Trump twice. Those insane elected politicians in Congress are still making innocent people suffer for crimes they never committed, all to spread fear and silence true leaders—you. They won’t stop, but most of you have realized that, or else you wouldn’t be reading this. It’s hypocritical to impeach President Donald J. Trump for supposedly inciting an insurrection when hateful congressional leaders and sponsored media outlets fueled rioters and anarchists in 2020.
True leaders correct wrong decisions.
Sometimes, leaders make wrong decisions, and when that happens, true leaders demonstrate the will, integrity, and courage to correct their course. I encourage you to watch the film Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words. The United States Supreme Court is the highest court of appeals and the final interpreter of the Constitution. Justice Thomas was appointed in 1991 during President George H. W. Bush’s administration. An example of overreach by Congress was the attempt to impeach the longest-serving Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas. Disagreement or sovereignty should never be grounds for impeachment.*
True leaders embrace sovereignty.
As a true leader, you must embrace your sovereignty. You need not choose a side but rather listen and embody the wisdom of both sides. This vision can be viewed in two ways. First, we can hand our authority over to someone else and have them give us the key to our freedoms at their own will, knowing that often, that key is that we will be controlled. But it’s an option, but doesn’t help you discover or experience your sovereignty.
People will hear the call of true leaders, human souls will wake up, and the world's soul will recognize that we are all connected. We are one. With unity, violence is no longer an option. At the same time, those who have hatred and fear rooted in a lust for greed and power will continue to engage in war. However, hate and fear vibrations will evaporate for those who choose the path of Love, peace, and wisdom.
When stepping up, we must remember, “Every time we hurt one another, we hurt all.” Hate unchecked incites behaviors that serve to gaslight people into committing acts of violence. The lack of true leadership and the hypocrisy are blatant in Washington, D.C., and at the state and local levels of government—it is appalling.
Jesus himself would say, “You hypocrites.”
* Justice Thomas’s leadership is a compelling story of an underdog hero and champion of liberty. Since the Supreme Court's inception in 1789, there have been 115 justices, yet only two African American justices have served: Thurgood Marshall and Clarence Thomas.
